Record List Options

You can specify whether or not records from different tables may be added to the Record List.

Note that when the Record List contains records from more than one table, you will not be able to export records from the list, or generate comparison tables, comparison charts, or X-Y charts, because these types of report do support records from multiple tables.

You may want to turn this option ON if you are using analysis reports (custom reports) that can include records from different tables.

Note: You must have cookies enabled in your browser in order to save changes to MI:Viewer options.

1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Record List Options group.
3. Select or clear the Allow records from different tables to be added to the list check box:
   • When unselected (the default setting), you can only add records from one table to the Record List. If you add records from one table, and then add records from a different table, the records from the first table will be removed from the list when the new records are added.
   • When selected, records from multiple tables and databases can be added to the Record List.
4. Click Save.

   The new settings will apply until the option is changed again.
