View security & access control information

The Current User's Roles page in MI:Viewer identifies your system security group, and also:

• For each database, the database security groups that have been defined for that database.
• For databases with permission-based access control configured, the access control categories and permissions that have been defined.

Users with administrator privileges for the GRANTA MI system can access this page via the Admin link in the toolbar.

(The same information is displayed at the bottom of the Impersonation page (Settings > Impersonation).)

To view security and access control information for a database

1. In the MI:Viewer toolbar, click on Admin.
2. On the General tab, under User roles, click View user roles.
3. Under Database Security Roles, select a database from the list to see the database security groups and access control permissions defined for it.
