Revert a record, folder, or table
Only items in an Unreleased
state can be reverted. When you revert a record, generic record, or folder:
- If a previous, released version of the item exists, the record,
folder, or table reverts to this version and Unreleased
version is removed from the database.
- If no previous, released version exists, the Unreleased
version is simply removed from the database (so this is similar to
'delete' in tables with no version control).
For tables, folders, and generic records, you can choose to revert only
the item itself and not the records and folders within it, or you can
revert it and all of
the records/folders within it.
To revert a record, folder, or table
- In the Contents tree, locate the unreleased item you want to revert
and click Edit
on the item menu button .
- Click one of: Revert this record
or Revert this generic record
or Revert this folder.
- If you selected a table, folder, or generic record that contains
other folders and/or records (i.e. that has descendant
records), you can choose whether to release all of its descendant
records as well:
- Revert the record only
— (default option) revert only only the selected table/folder/generic
record; do not revert any of the records or folders it contains.
- Revert this record and all
descendants — revert the selected table/ folder/generic
record and
all records and folders within it.
- (Optional) Type some notes about the change you are making in the
box provided. The notes will apply to all folders and records being
changed.
- Click OK.
