Bulk Edit Version Control
To change the version control state of a number of records at once, you
can use the Bulk Edit Version Control
tool. This tool is available in Edit mode.
Note: Some operations may also affect
parent or descendant records of those in the list. You should consider
the implications of a version control operation before performing it.
To change the version control state of a set of records
- Click Reports on the toolbar
and add the records you want to modify to the Record List.
- Click Bulk Edit: Version Control
for the report type.
- On the Bulk Edit Version Control
page, select an operation from the list: Release, Revert, Withdraw,
or Reinstate.
- You will be informed how many records will be changed, or if
no records in the list are eligible for the selected operation.
- Click Show to view
the records that will be affected by the operation.
- (Optional) Type some notes about the operation in the box provided.
The notes will apply to all records being changed.
- Click Go.
The Summary page is displayed in the main area with information about
the operation, showing how many records have been changed.
- Click Show to view the
records that have been affected by the operation.
- Click Remove these from your record
list to remove these records from the record list.
