Pre-defined searches

To save time, your system may have been set up to provide a number of pre-defined searches. A pre-defined search is a collection of useful or frequently-used search attribute criteria for materials/attributes that are of particular interest to your company or department, for example, to perform a search only among polymers, or to search properties measured to ISO standards - modulus, strength, and strain.

Pre-defined searches will be available on the Search page if suitable search templates ("search masks") have been set up by your GRANTA MI database administrator.

To run a pre-defined search

  1. Click Advanced Search in the MI:Viewer toolbar to open the Search page.
  2. Click on one of the named links under Pre-defined searches.
  3. Specify the required attribute values or ranges, and add or remove attributes from search, as required.
  4. Click Search.
