Application Options

Note: You must have cookies enabled in your browser in order to save changes to MI:Viewer options.

Currency

This is the currency that MI:Viewer uses to display attribute data that represent prices. The currency option will not be present if there is only one available currency.

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group and select the desired currency from the Currency list. The currencies are listed alphabetically by name, and also show the standard international three letter code (USD, JPY, etc)
  3. Click Save.

Display notation (Decimal separator, Significant figures, Numeric display)

The display notation that MI:Viewer uses to display attribute data can be changed using the Decimal separator, Significant figures and Numeric display options.

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group, and select the desired separator, number of significant figures, and/or numeric display notation type (Scientific or Engineering). The selected decimal separator will override the default browser setting.
  3. Click Save.  

Results Per Page

This is the number of results per page that MI:Viewer uses to display results lists (e.g. search results, selection results). The default is 50.

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group and set the desired number from the Results Per Page list.
  3. Click Save.

Maximum number of attributes on report

This is the maximum number of attributes that MI:Viewer can use in a report. The default is 100.

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group and specify the Maximum number of attributes on report.
  3. Click Save.

Use Absolute Temperatures

This is format that MI:Viewer uses to display temperatures. With Use absolute temperatures set to true, the temperatures throughout the application will display as absolute temperatures (that is, Kelvin instead of °C, °R instead of °F). Click to view an example

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group and select or clear the Use absolute temperatures check box.
  3. Click Save.

Show Withdrawn Records

This option controls whether or not withdrawn records in version controlled tables are shown in the contents tree when the system is in Edit mode. Click to view an example

  1. On the toolbar, click Settings.
  2. On the Options tab, scroll down to the Application Options group and select the Show withdrawn records check box to show withdrawn records in the contents tree when the system is in Edit mode.
  3. Click Save.

The setting will apply until the option is changed again.
