Load language resource files

The on-screen messages that appear in GRANTA MI  are defined in XML files or Microsoft’s .resx XML-based resource format, and are integrated within each module and package in your GRANTA MI system. These resource files provide message strings in different languages.

It is possible to add resource files that override the base messages in your GRANTA MI products, for example to give the product a more customized feel. New or updated language resource files must be placed into <MIViewerRootFolder>\languages and then loaded from there into MI:Viewer as described below.

To load new or updated language resource files

1. Log in to MI:Viewer using an account with administrator privileges for the GRANTA MI system.
2. In the MI:Viewer toolbar, click on Admin.

3. On the General tab, under Language localization, click Reload language resources files.
